Heart of England Raptors after 22 years is still going strong! You like us because we give your audience - and you, the promoters – true value for money. Established clients know we offer a reliable and professional service in a friendly and helpful way, and this is reflected in our exceptionally high rate of re-bookings. If you have not booked us in the last twenty two years then isn’t it time you joined the veritable Who’s Who of show promoters who have?

 Our free flying displays are spectacular and well presented; our commentaries are renowned for being entertaining and informative. We involve the audience wherever possible. We are ready in time and get out of the arena in time. Running an event can be a thankless and traumatic task; we believe our job is to make yours easier. To that end we can extend or shorten our displays to get your program back on schedule. The birds can fly around show jumps or other equipment so that awkward ‘dismantling’ breaks can be avoided.

We supply a mixed team of Hawks, Falcons and Owls from different continents. The birds are on static display throughout your event so that the falconer can talk to the public, allowing photographs Etc. Flying displays can be virtually any length but we normally recommend 2 x 30 minute displays as the optimum. Where you have an on-going event with no formal arena program we can do a mix’n’mingle presentation.

All prices are inclusive where events are within a 15 mile radius of Warwick where we are based. Events beyond the 15 mile radius of Heart of England Raptors will incur a .50p per mile additional charge (both ways). This will be calculated and advised prior to you receiving your quotation.

DISPLAY TERMS, CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS 

OUTDOOR FLYING EVENTS WITH AN ARENA PROGRAMME:

 

The promoter to provide:

 

  1. A roped off, flying arena (minimum size 20m X 20m) at suitable height to restrict public access. Please ensure that there is no overhead cabling or wiring that would restrict or endanger birds in flight.
  2. A PA system with ‘hands free radio mike’ for the falconer’s commentary.
  3. A roped off area (9m X 9m approx) for static display close to the flying arena. This should be shaded, if possible, for the birds comfort and have vehicle parking space.
  4. Setting up and clearing takes 10 – 15 minutes approximately. Other activities, e.g. building showjumps, can occur simultaneously.
  5. A gap of one hour or more between performances is recommended. 

OUTDOOR FLYING EVENTS WITHOUT A FORMAL PROGRAMME

 Sometimes, e.g. at corporate events, ‘mix n mingle’ is more appropriate, and we are happy to work on a more intimate basis among your guests. In this situation a PA system is unnecessary – however:

6.   The promoter to provide a static display area
(as requested in requirement 3).

7.       If you would like your guests to enjoy ‘hands on’ experience please notify us when booking so that extra gloves and suitable birds can be brought.

8.      If your company logo, product or service is identified with any particular species of bird of prey, please notify us in advance so that we can bring with us, if possible 

CONDITIONS 

9.       Heart of England Raptors carries public liability insurance to five million pounds in any individual claim. Increased cover is available at a daily rate.

10.   Should adverse weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond the control of Heart of England Raptors, prevent displays being presented then the fee shall remain payable provided Heart of England Raptors attend the event as contracted.

11.   Cancellation of the booking, within six weeks of the event, will render the promoter liable for payment of the full fee.

12. The full fee is payable on the day of the performance. Where for administration reasons an invoice is required in advance to facilitate this, the promoter should advise of this when completing the contract.

13.   Organisers of events on the Isle of Wight, Channel Isles, Ulster, Isle of Man and mainland Europe will be charged ferry costs and, where necessary, reasonable travel and hotel expenses.

14.   In the event that Avian Influenza reaches the United Kingdom and becomes a geographical concern, our outside displays may have to be cancelled. If this directive is given by DEFRA then either party has the right to cancel with a minimum of 48 Hours notice. If less than 48 hours notice is given by the event organisers, the fee shall remain payable.
