'Rabbit clearance and control,our specialty service'
Rabbits can be important in maintaining plant diversity in a range of habitats, but they can also cause significant damage. With the ability to breed at 16 weeks old and have up to 6 litters each year the wild Rabbit has been with us for centuries and will be for many to come.
By definition legislation was put in place in 1954 for all land owners to control the population of Rabbits on their land. Further details of this current legislation can be found here;

OUR CONTROL METHODS
Long Netting - are used to surround large warrens or stretch across large boundaries. They are erected during the daytime mainly and the Rabbits are flushed towards the nets and are entangled in the lower parts of the net and collected up.

Purse Netting are used when there is generally a smaller infestation or warrens are grouped and scattered about the land. A small purse net is placed over each hole of the warren and when rabbits bolt from the warren they entangle themselves and are again collected up.

Permanent Netting Rabbit Proof Fencing Mainly installed and used to prevent Rabbits from crossing borders from one property to another acting as an effective containment solution.

Natural Predation - Hawking - Few pest control companies can offer such a specialised Rabbit control method without incurring additional costs of professional Falconers, costs which invariably are passed onto you the customer. At Heart of England Raptors we can call upon our own 25 year experience as professional Falconers.

Our commercial customers have taken advantage of this method by combining Falconry for pest control and team building and corporate entertainment for their staff.
Shooting In terms of numbers, our Rifle shooting method is probably the most effective way of reducing Rabbits. It is very cost effective for our customers.
All our operatives are qualified and licensed to use Firearms and Shotguns. We liaise directly with local Police and authorities to ensure safe and effective use of Firearms.
Large numbers of Rabbits can be culled in a short period of Time. In some cases we have been able to remove more than a thousand Rabbits with just a few visitations.

Trapping Live traps/cages can be used in conjunction with all of the above methods or on their own. Utilised mainly when small levels of infestation are reported, cages and traps are strategically placed and visited by one of our operatives once every 24 hours for Rabbit removal and re-setting.
